Stomponadon is the sole inhabitant of the Stomping Plains in Banjo-Tooie, so named because the violent creature furiously attempts to step on any intruders and can defeat them with a mere two blows. Only her leg is seen in the game, but it can be presumed that she is a T-rex. Sometimes the zombified King Jingaling warns the player to avoid the Stomping Plains as "Stomponadon has a terrible temper." Even in the character parade, the only part of Stomponadon that is seen is her leg.

  • Stomponadon is a giant dinosaur appearing in Banjo-Tooie who is very large in size and is known to be the biggest character in the Banjo-Kazooie series as only a single foot is visible in the game, suggesting tremendous size. Stomponadon constantly tries to step on Banjo while he is crossing the Stomping Plains in Terrydactyland. If she steps on Banjo, he gets squished and loses a lot of health. In fact, she leaves you with only one Honeycomb. Banjo will remain flattened for a long period of time, and by the time Banjo gets back to normal size again, Stomponadon has already stepped on and squashed him again. Stomponadon is unable to be killed or damaged in any way, and her love of stomping, as her name implies, racks up great damage upon those who wish to cross her territory. Large footprints in the ground will provide cover, however speed, protection or recovery will be necessary to move from print to print without being squished; the Talon Trot is usually fast enough, although the Wonderwing will offer protection if you want to be cautious, but Banjo alone does not have the necessary speed to make it across without being stepped on, so the Snooze Pack ability is required to recover energy in between stomps. (Banjo and Kazooie must cross separately in order to grab all the goodies at the other side.) Also the Super Banjo, Honeyback or Honeyking may help Banjo to pass safely. Judging by the shape of Stomponadon's feet, she would appear to be based on members of the Theropoda suborder of dinosaurs, such as a Tyrannosaurus Rex or something similar, although the exact species is impossible to identify. Oddly enough, the footprints left in the Stomping Plains are those of a sauropod, such as a Diplodocus.
