- The medical and magical professions create a constant demand for fresh corpses, and the difficulty of obtaining suitable specimens legally means that few customers enquire too closely into the origins of any cadavers they are offered. Grave Robbers make a living by supplying this demand and can often command high prices. The practice of stealing corpses from fresh graves is regarded with universal horror and wealthy families often invest vast sums in constructing burial places designed to foil the bodysnatcher. The poor, as always, have no such luxury. The mass graves in the paupers' section of many town cemeteries are an open target for Grave Robbers.

bestiarytext
| - The ruthless individuals known as grave robbers roam abandoned crypts in search of riches. They do not like any form of competition, infights and backstabbing are part of their daily routine. Though these fights are forgotten as soon as another competitor enters. So, often surprised adventurers and explorers end up earning the wrath of the grave robbers. In rarely seen unity they put aside their quarrels and team up to eliminate the unwanted intruders. The grave robbers fight with all the cruelty and spite at their disposal. They are usually not well armed or armored, carrying around an assortment of stolen ragtag equipment. Usually recruited by a twist of fate from the ranks of the poor and hopeless, the common grave robber fears little and has respect for nothing. Though some of them might be tragic individuals, hoping to support their families or having caught some bizarre disease when investigating an ancient tomb, the majority of them are a bunch of thieves and murderers of the worst kind. Most of them have abandoned all initial hope of finding a fortune and settling down long ago. Having not much to loose and having given up all pretence of self respect, they have no honour and know neither remorse nor mercy.
