Henry I of Scotland (July 28, 1882 - December 10, 1942) was a Scottish nobleman of the House of Spalding, reigning as the house's third King of Scotland from the death of his father, Robert IV in 1927 until his own death in 1942. While not remembered as a particularly active domestic King, Henry I's great contribution to Scotland is remembered in his pressure upon the Scottish Parliament, in particular First Minister William Franklin MacDonald, to remain uninvolved in the ongoing Irish War between Socialist England and the Franco-Irish alliance. Henry's reign is often viewed as the high-water mark of Spalding Scotland - economic decline, internal conflict and eventually civil war erupted in the two-and-a-half decades after his death. He was succeeded by his eldest son, Henry II.
