| - Flagpoles are settlement objects in the Fallout 4 add-on Nuka-World.
- The Flagpole, also called the Goal Pole, is the object at the end of a traditional side-scrolling Mario game. They first appeared in Super Mario Bros., and have reappeared in numerous titles since. They haven't appeared in every main title, though. In the Super Mario series, flagpoles are replaced with stars, with the exception of Super Mario 3D Land, which is the first Super Mario game to have flagpoles instead of stars.
- Flagpoles could either have a picture of Bowser on them, or a picture of a skull on them. Also they could come in different colors, black being the most popular. Some come in red, and when a player reaches those, a secret level is unlocked. If a player happens to jump before touching the flag, and manages to reach the top, they will earn a 1-up.

Compared to other players, the player who reaches closer to the top of the pole or reaches the top of the pole first will have their character's symbol and colour replaced on Bowser's flag. The higher the player is able to get to the top, closer to the flag itself, the more points he or she gets. If the player reaches the very top, the player gets a 1-Up. However, in Super Mario 3D World, you get 10000 points instead.
In Super Mario Bros. and some other early Mario games with flagpoles, there is a glitch where the player will be able to jump over the flagpole. After doing so, the player will run across an endless landscape after he/she passes the castle. Also when a giant Mario or Luigi reaches the flagpole in New Super Mario Bros., the flagpole will break and after it does so, Mario or Luigi will shrink back to normal size and go inside the castle.
- Flagpoles are settlement objects in the Fallout 4 add-on Nuka-World.
