The Klondites were a humanoid race. For years they dominated the Galaxy Games, winning nearly every event. When the First Doctor, John and Gillian attended one of the Games, John observed that a Klondite athlete who won a running event wasn't very fast by Earth standards, prompting the Doctor to enter him in the Games. After John won his first race, the Klondite trainer tried to have him killed in a laser beam trap, but the Doctor used a discus to disarm it. Later, the trainer and his henchman kidnapped John, but the Doctor and Gillian found their hideout and knocked them out with rocks, freeing John. (COMIC: The Galaxy Games)
