Saint Seiya: Episode.G(聖闘士星矢 EPISODE.GSeinto Seiya Episōdo Jī) is an ongoing manga published in the Champion Red magazine since December 2002. A side-story and a derivative work of the original Saint Seiya manga, which was created, written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada. Episode.G is set 7 years before the events at the beginning of the original Saint Seiya Manga, and 6 years after the death of the Gold Saint Sagittarius Aioros. Unlike the original series it is written and illustrated by Megumu Okada.

Summary
  • Mu initially does not want to repair the Leo Gold Cloth, but he is suddenly attack by the Titan Dimension Iapetos who wants to test Aiolia's powers. Mu decides to face Iapetos and after a long fight, both are interrupted by Cronus' soul. Cronus orders Iapetos to leave, and challenges Aiolia for a future fight. Before falling unconscious, Mu uses his blood to repair Aiolia's Cloth, as he now recognizes him as a good Saint. Meanwhile, Shura discovers that the Pope is the Gold Saint Gemini Saga, and is suddenly knocked by Saga.
  • Aiolia is easily overpowered by Coeus, forcing him to perform a technique forbidden by Aiolos. With his technique, Photon Burst, Aiolia almost kills Coeus, but he is suddenly rescued by Hyperion. As Shaka returns to the Sanctuary, Gold Saint Scorpio Milo is sent by the Pope to protect Aiolia, while he recovers from his wounds from his fight against Coeus. The God Pontus, an ally from the Titans, revives the soldier Hector and sends him to attack Aiolia, eventually confronting Milo.
  • Hyperion sends the Giant, creatures from Cronus, to attack the Sanctuary. While one of them successfully attacks the Saints, Aiolia comes to stop the Giant. Having his Gold Cloth repaired Aiolia easily defeats his opponents. Meanwhile, another Giant attacks the Twelve Temples from the Sanctuary and is confronted by the Gold Saint Cancer Deathmask. Deathmask kills the Giant without major problems, ending the invasion to the Sanctuary.
  • Shura manages to perform his Excalibur technique twice at the same moment, cutting Kreios' right arm. Pontus then starts draining all Kreios' energy to revive his lord, but Kreios decides to give his blood to Shura. Meanwhile, Coeus has a rematch with Aiolia, and this time he is able to use all his power. Coeus creates a giant black star that apart from increasing his speed, it also absorbs all of Aiolia's lightning techniques, including his Photon Burst, overpowering him. Before being defeated, Aiolia once again tries to perform the Photon Burst
  • Cronus' soul attacks the Sanctuary to recover his Soma, and thus, his body. With almost all the Saints forced to stay in the Twelve Temples, Saga reveals to have split personality, and his good personality faces Cronus. Although Saga overpowers Cronus, his evil side soon takes control of his body, causing him to escape. Aiolia then arrives the Twelve Temples and fights Cronus. Cronus attempts to absorb all Aiolia' lighting attacks, energy used by Zeus to seal Cronus, to restore his body, but instead, he is damaged. When Aiolia uses his Photon Burst, all the female titans appear to protect Cronus, whose body has been restored.
  • Cronus is revealed to have lost his memory and his real body after Aiolia's Photon Burst attacked him. The Titanesses attack Aiolia and Shura with an Hydra, and return to the Time Labyrinth with Cronus. There, Cronus uses a giant sand clock called to return the Earth to the time where he was the king. Meanwhile, Aldebaran saves Shura and Aiolia, and destroys the Hydra. The Titan Current Oceanus attacks the Sanctuary to take Kreios' sword, but he is confronted by Aiolia and the Gold Saint Aquarius Camus. Camus fights against Oceanus, but he is unable to injure him.
  • Camus is unable to defeat Oceanus, being only able to make his weapons weak. Oceanus retreats, but then Iapetos kidnaps Lithos to make Aiolia enter the Time Labyrinth. Aiolia then enters the territory and is confronted by Hyperion. After a short fight, Hyperion sends his soldiers to attack Aiolia, but they are all killed by the Gold Saint Pisces Aphrodite. Being sent by Saga, Aphrodite faces a Giant, allowing to continue to save Lithos.
  • Aiolia is assigned to go with his servants Lithos and Galan to find an evil spirit in the Creta Island. While searching in a ruins, Aiolia and his servants are attacked by the spirit from the King Minos, who is eating the souls from small children. Aiolia easily defeats Minos, saving the souls. In another mission, Aiolia goes to Chuang-Yan to defeat a Gorgon that killed a middle ranked Silver Saint previous days ago, but he allows Silver Saint's student to kill the gorgon by himself. When returning to the Sanctuary, Aiolia is assigned to protect the Gold Saint Virgo Shaka in India while he performs a ritual to destroy a large number of evil spirits. In India, Shaka is attacked by the Titan Dark Lightning Coeus, and Aiolia starts fighting against Coeus.
  • The Pope from the Sanctuary tries to kill a baby, who is the reincarnation of the goddess Athena. However, he is stopped by one of the 88 soldiers from Athena known Saints, the ranked Gold Saint Sagittarius Aiolos. Aiolos tries to escape with the baby, but he is later killed by the Gold Saint Capricorn Shura, thinking he is a traitor. Several years later, Aiolos' younger brother, Gold Saint Leo Aiolia, is sent on several missions by the Pope to prove his loyalty to the Sanctuary. In one of his missions, Aiolia meets a girl called Lithos, and adopts her as his sister when her father dies. One day, a mysterious person attacks the Sanctuary, and the Gold Saints reunite with the Pope to discuss what to do.
  • While Aphrodite defeats his Giant opponent, Aiolia runs through the Time Labyrinth until he is confronted by Pontus. Pontus purposes Aiolia to receive his powers so that Aiolia could become powerful enough to kill the Titans, but he negates. As such, Pontus fights Aiolia, mutilating his right arm in one attack. With help from Galan, Aiolia recovers his arm and continuous facing Pontus, until being able to hit him. Aiolia becomes exhausted, but the former Libra Gold Saint creates an illusion of himself to protect Aiolia from Pontus' attacks. Mu then uses his powers to transport Shura, Camus, Milo, Aldebaran and Shaka to the Time Labyrinth to assist Aiolia. With several Gold Saints in the Labyrinth, Pontus leaves, having planned that the Titans would be killed by the Saints.
  • For arriving late to the meeting with the Gold Saints, Aiolia punishes himself by going to stop the invader. The invader is revealed to be Ebony Hyperion, one of the Titans who was revived to find the weapon from his leader, the titan of time Cronus, and then free him. Aiolia faces Hyperion, but he is easily defeated. As Lithos tries to save Aiolia, Aiolia returns to fight Hyperion. This time Hyperion retreats as Aiolia broke his body armor "Soma". However, Aiolia also broke his body armor, the Leo Gold Cloth, and goes with the Gold Saint Taurus Aldebaran to Jamir to ask another Gold Saint, Aries Mu, to repair it.
  • Milo easily defeats Hector, but Pontus later reveals that he was only trying to make time to revive all the Titans. All the Titans, with Cronus' exception are revived, and their home, the Time Labyrinth, is restored. Titan Galaxy Kreios invades the Sanctuary, but he is eventually confronted by Shura. In their fight Shura is seriously injured, but he is helped by Aiolia. Shura then destroys Kreios' sword, causing him to retreat.
  • Titans Iapetos and Themis transport Aiolia to a planet created with their Cosmo to fight him using all their powers. As Aiolia is overpowered by them, Shaka enters the planet to join the fight to help Aiolia. After a big struggling between Shaka and Iapetos, Aiolia attacks Iapetos as his right arm is charged with Galan's Cosmo. In order to help her husband, Themis allows Iapetos to kill her so that he could use her as his weapon. Shocked by his acting, Iapetos goes berserk and feriously attacks Shaka and Aiolia. Both Gold Saints then join forces in order to make Iapetos regain consciousness.
  • Aiolia manages to defeat Iapetos using all his power. Iapetos then regains consciousness, but decides to die in his planet to stay with his wife's corpse. Before dying, Iapetos gives his sacred blood to Aiolia to heal him. Aiolia and Shaka return with the other Gold Saints, but they are confronted by Kreios. Shura stays to fight Kreios, who uses all his power this time. Meanwhile, Titanesse Rea creates a giant salamander to attack the Gols Saints, causing Camus to face it.
