The Battle of Mandalore was a pivotal battle in the Bothan War and likely the most significant to this point. After taking nearly every system in Mandalorian space except the capital world, Darth Naarin's Muun Federation forces were ready for the attack. Prior to this point, the Mandalorian armies had been retreating to Mandalore, conceding most of their worlds to the Sith and the Muuns. As the final troops arrived on their transports after fighting on Mandalore, Darth Torrent moved what were now his forces to Reiilbo. The final part of his master's plan was about to unfold.

abstract
| - The Battle of Mandalore was a pivotal battle in the Bothan War and likely the most significant to this point. After taking nearly every system in Mandalorian space except the capital world, Darth Naarin's Muun Federation forces were ready for the attack. Prior to this point, the Mandalorian armies had been retreating to Mandalore, conceding most of their worlds to the Sith and the Muuns. When the invasion finally began, no side was clearly winning. Both sides took heavy casualties in what was by far the deadliest battle of the war. At some point in the battle, Darth Naarin, who was observing the fighting from his spaceship decided that Mandalore Arto Fol had to be killed or at least captured. If he was not, he knew he would be a thorn in the side of the Sith lord. Naarin decided he must do this alone and he left Darth Torrent in charge of the operation. When Naarin arrived at the Mandalorian capital building, he quickly killed Fol's guards and engaged the Mandalore himself. After an epic battle in which the Sith used his lightsaber and the Mandalorian used his blaster, among other weapons, Darth Naarin was killed when a laser shot hit his head. Sensing the death through the force, Torrent was faced with a crucial decision. Instead of keeping his forces in a battle that was little more than part of a diversion, he decided to retreat from the battle. Also realizing that the invasion of Muunilist would have to occur soon, he contacted the Muun garrisons on the various Mandalorian worlds. Having sworn allegiance to the Sith above anyone else (including the Muun government) they left their posts and headed for the Reiilbo system, near Muunilist. As the final troops arrived on their transports after fighting on Mandalore, Darth Torrent moved what were now his forces to Reiilbo. The final part of his master's plan was about to unfold.
