Biography
  • Pee Wee Wentz is a former NASCAR driver from Danville, VA. He competed in six Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning one top-ten. Wentz's debut came in 1971, when he competed at Ona. Starting 20th in the field of thirty-five, Wentz lost his engine just one hundred laps into the race and finished a disappointing 28th. Wentz did not return to the sport until 1973, when he competed at Martinsville. Clutch issues plagued him in the event leaving him 27th. He also tagged on a start three weeks later at Rockingham, finishing 26th with engine failure. Wentz's final three races came in 1974, when he finished a career-high 73rd in points. Wentz finished a disappointing 31st in his season opener at Darlington after a crash, but that turned out to be a break for the driver. For Joey Arrington felt Wentz would be a good candidate to drive his equipment in the fall Darlington event, when Wentz drove his way to a career-best 10th place finish. Wentz then closed out his career 23rd at Martinsville. External Links *Stats
