- Herman is Quinn Pensky's pet tarantula. He appears in the season 3 episode, Quarantine. He is seen crawling on Lola's bed, causing her to scream. Quinn, thinking Lola overreacted, picked Herman up and comforted him. - Herman the diplodocus is a minor character in The Space Ghosts, and worked for Shanta on Creepus. He was startled by the dispium-affected kentrosaurus and injured himself, and Shanta described the incident as "proof" of the ghosts' malevolence, although Spink later revealed to Teggs that they didn't mean to hurt him, but only intended to warn him about General Loki's work on the planet and the dangers of approaching dispium. He also helps to dig up the Maroon Miner that the velociraptor hid in the sand. Herman left Creepus with the other miners after Loki's capture.

- Herman the Mad was king of one of the Northern Kingdoms, maybe Temeria. During storms he used to go out on the towers, and summon the gods with lightning rod. He is mentioned by Kalkstein in The Witcher (PC).
- Herman can be found outside the Hobbe Cave in Rookridge the first time you go there on your way to Oakfield. He has lost his son, Joey, in the Hobbe Cave; it is said that children are kidnaped by Hobbes and then the Hobbes turn them into more Hobbes. The Hero of Bowerstone is asked to help him find his son. When you are about halfway through the cave, you will hear Joey scream. When you reach a wooden door, Herman will try to unlock it; you must find your way around the door. Behind the door is his son, but he finds that his son is already a Hobbe. It is unclear what follows; either Herman passes out from shock or he is killed by the Hobbe Joey. You then have to fight your way through the rest of the cave.
- Orphaned at a very young age, due to the decree by the head of the Divino Family. Herman's parents were executed and Herman being left on the doorstep of a wealth family. Herman had grown up, as he was growing up he begun to have several wild episodes with his adopted parents. Along with the teasing and bullying from his foster Brothers and sister, as a result he was often left alone to play by himself. So causing him to create several imagery friends, growing into a child. Herman would go off into the town that he was born on and visited an old mechanic, who had taught Herman, his craft.
- Karl Crowder owns a flea circus. He is obsessed with studying the dramatic interplay between three of his fleas, Rosa, Felix, and Herman. He explains to his skeptical friends that Rosa loves Herman. When Herman tries to impress Rosa by pulling a tiny cart filled with dirt, he can't manage the feat. Comforting Herman for the failure, Rosa thinks about it. She decides Felix is the culprit and overfilled the cart, as Herman is also in love with Rosa and jealous of Herman.
- Herman is Carl's black-hearted, sadistic, evil ant brother and is the emperor of Antsylvania. He wants to use his massive armies to take over the world, which is something that he came quite close to doing. Despite his past failures, Herman refuses to let go of his ambitions, and his armies are always ready to march on a moment's notice.
