The First Battle Wing was the name of the Squadron sent out to attack the Tirolian Mothership during an early battle of the Second Robotech War. It consisted of many Shuttles. The battle was officially ordered by United Earth Government Prime Minister Wyatt Moran against the wished of Rolf Emerson, who saw the plan to be a suicide mission for the pilots. The pilots found that the enemy ship had a barrier system in place, and had defenses well-armed. Shortly into the battle, the Wing did not respond to signals, and was believed to be completely destroyed. (Masters Saga: "Danger Zone")
