Thomas Bateman Napier (1854-8 November 1933) was a Liberal Party politician and judge. Born in Preston, Lancashire, he was the son of Richard Clay Napier and his wife Sarah née Bateman. He studied law at the University of London and was called to the bar at the Inner Temple in 1883. Progressive Party member of the London County Council representing Islington North 1893-1907. In 1906 he was elected member of parliament for Faversham in Kent, but lost the seat in 1910. He became a judge in 1912 on the Derbyshire County Circuit. Entry in Who’s Who and Wikipedia [1].
