The exact reason for why she had her real right arm replaced is unknown, though a possible explanation might be to increase her drumming abilities. Her bionic arm is extendable, allowing her to attack from a long distance. The arm is also quite powerful: One hit from it was enough knock the highlights out of Knives Chau's hair. Near the end of Volume 3, Lynette loses her bionic arm when she's forced to teleport away in order to escape the wrath of Envy Adams. It is unknown if she gets it replaced.

He can discharge bolts of electrical energy from his arm's palm. He can discharge an EMP rendering electronic devices useless. Much like the Asura path, he can launch his arm using it as a projectile weapon. With a small-scale explosion, caused by chakra collected in the cut end of the wrist, the hand portion gains propulsive power and flies off in a straight line with tremendous force. Later, Shinzui installed a Gatling Gun and a retractable blade made of titanium in the arm to further enhance it's performance. The powerful automatic machine gun added to his arm fires many bullets simultaneously. While, the blade can sever flesh and even break most swords at ease. In addition, the blade has been coated with thallium, thereby making it poisonous. Although there are no nerve endings throughout the length of his arm, Shinzui can "feel" basic sensations with them. As a result of the mutagenic changes from exposure to radiation during the accident, electrical connections have been made from his chest harness to his spine. Thus, he can mentally perceive "tactile" sensations by feeling the amount of electrical resistance that the pincer's electric motors feel when the pincers grasp an object. By, switching to pincer mode instead of normal mechanical fingers, he can generate 50 mile per hour winds if spun like a giant fan.
