- Deep Six's primary military specialty is diver, and his secondary military specialty is small craft pilot/motorized. He likes to be alone, preferably down in the ocean depths. He was one of the twelve out of 50 applicants who passed the strict requirements for the position of the Joe Tram diver; eight more washed out in the practical application testing, and of the four finalists Deep Six could hold his breath the longest.
- The name Deep Six refers to several versions of the same character:
* Deep Six (RAH)
* Deep Six (IDW)
- Somewhere off the coast of Alaska, a sunken cargo poses a threat of unthinkable proportions. Potentially, the lost shipment of chemicals could destroy all life in the ocean - and perhaps the world - unless Dirk Pitt can find it first. But time is running out for the NUMA agent and his team. Pitt's main target is just one deadly component of a vast international conspiracy fueled by hijacking, bribery, and murder. And at the center of it all is a powerful Korean shipping empire with a chilling political agenda - to kidnap the President of the United States....
- Deep Six is a series of books written by Timothy McGee, under the pseudonym Thom E. Gemcity, in his spare time. There are currently two books in the series:
* Deep Six: The Continuing Adventures of L.J. Tibbs, which has made him something of a minor celebrity.
* Deep Six: Rock Hollow - The Continuing Adventures of L.J. Tibbs, a work in progress.

* Deep Six: Rock Hollow - The Continuing Adventures of L.J. Tibbs, a work in progress. The characters are based on the agents in McGee's squad: "L.J. Tibbs" is based on Leroy Jethro Gibbs; "Lisa" is based on Ziva David; "Tommy" is based on Anthony DiNozzo; "Amy Sutton" is based on Abigail Sciuto; "Pimmy Jalmer" is based on Jimmy Palmer; and "McGregor" is based on McGee himself with the plot lines inspired by cases the team worked on.
