The East Aurora Fire Department (EAFD) was established in 1954 when four smaller, independent companies agreed to combine efforts: the Pioneer Hook and Ladder Company; the Cazenovia Hose Company; the Chemical Engine Company; and the East End Company. The EAFD pays tribute to their predecessors with unique lettering on each apparatus.
