Thor-Surtur and the Fire Demons escape imprisonment from their realm with the help of devious Loki wanting the Asgardian throne.They attack Asgard and and make the Asgardians their slaves.Thor,God of Thunder rebels and is transported to Midgard.Along the way him and his hammer are sepated.Thor teleported onto a street where SHIELD nurse Jane Foster ran him over.Meanwhile,Thor's hammer crashed onto a SHIELD base and nobody could pick it up except Thor.Jane takes Thor to that location and they fall in love.Thor retrieves his hammer and takes himself and Jane to Asgard.They are immediately attacked by Loki who mind controls Thor into going insane but Jane wields the hammer and defeats Loki.They confront Surtur and after a battle that nearly destroyed Asgard Surfur is locked up in his realm again.Odin grants Jane immortality and she marries Thor.
