The Atlas-Class Assault Carrier is a 5.1 km Troop carrier/fighter carrier design the deployed troop, equipment and aircrafts directly on the theatre of combat. The design is closely inspired from the Aircraft carrier. In this case the runway is scrapped on the hull and replaced by hangars and a seizable complement of troop reside witting the ship. The idea came that the Augustus-class Assault Ship is not able to land nether do a stationary flight. While the Augustus-class Assault Ship have to stay in high atmosphere to land it troop and equipment, the Atlas-Class Assault Carrier can do an extremely low flight an can land on water on demand. The Atlas-Class Assault Carrier is equipped with the same armament that another space asset of the unsc navy. He can take part to space battle as it is classifier as an Amphibious ship. It armament include 4 CR-03, Series-8 MAC, 770x M965 Fortress 70mm gun, 500x M85 Anti-Aircraft Gun network, 310x 24 M42 Archer, 234x 30 M75 Rapier, 480x 20 M96 Howler, Broadside Mac Network (88). The Atlas-Class is also used as a mobile command post during ground operation. Managing communication troops deployment and wire support coordination. The Atlas-Class is also responsive of giving heavy fire support to ground troops. It is considered as the UNSC equivalent to the Covenant assault carrier. For example during joint operation the Atlas-Class is working in conjunction to the Covenant Assault Carrier. It is interesting to note that the Atlas-Class own 4 wing allowing him to work in atmosphere and proved to Vertical Take Off Landing. Those VTOL is possible thank to several vertical truster units.
