Seregon was a plant with red flowers that grew on Amon Rûdh during the First Age of the Middle-earth. In the First Age, Túrin and his outlaw band Gaurwaith were led by Mîm the dwarf to his home at Amon Rûdh. Seregon and aeglos grew there, and seregon mantled the stone. Androg, Túrin's companion, described the view as "blood on the hill-top".

Wer diese tief roten Blüten auf dem kahlen Fels sah, glaubte der Stein würde bluten, daher auch der Sindarin-Name Blut des Steines. Seregon gehört der Pflanzengattung des "Mauerpfeffers" an. Als der Nachmittag zu Ende ging, kamen die Geächteten von Norden her dicht an den Fuß des Berges Amon Rûdh heran. Als nun das westliche Sonnenlicht auf den Berggipfel fiel, auf dem das Seregon in voller Blüte stand, sagte Andróg: "Seht! Es ist Blut auf dem Gipfel". Túrin gab ihm zur Antwort: "Noch nicht".
