The hockey section first qualified for the German Championship in 1929 after finishing as runners-up in the first class league of the North German Ice Sports Federation. They finished in third place in the tournament. Brandenburg reached the final in 1930, where they were defeated 9-1 by Berliner Schlittschuhclub. They also qualified for the German Championship in 1931 and 1933, but were forced to withdraw due to a lack of funds. Brandenburg competed in the championship annually from 1934 to 1938, never making it past the semifinals. They also took part in the competition in 1941 and 1943.
