William Alexander "Bud" Abbott (October 2, 1895 – April 24, 1974) was an American actor, producer and comedian. He is best remembered as the straight man of the comedy team of Abbott and Costello, with Lou Costello.

- Bud Abbott was a 20th century American actor, producer, and comedian. Abbott and his partner Lou Costello starred in the movie Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein. Trip Tucker wanted to project this film during movie night aboard Enterprise in January of 2153. Tucker stated he might show this film along with "the three greatest horror movies ever made": Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, and Son of Frankenstein. (ENT: "Horizon")
- At Lou Costello's insistence, the monies earned from their comedy act were split 60/40, favoring Abbott. Costello's reasoning was, "Comics are a dime a dozen. Good straight men are hard to find." Abbott appeared as a special guest (not a panelist) on an episode of the NBC daytime game show It Takes Two, hosted by Vin Scully (sometime in 1969 or 1970), reminiscing about his career with Lou Costello.
