Nosegay Strut was the main street of Summersea's slum, the Mire, running in a north-south direction. Spice Walk and Mummer's Close were two of the streets leading away from Nosegay Strut. It was a side road of Temple Road ran past Urda's House to the fishing village on the harbor. Before the outbreak of the blue pox the street was muddy, but clear. After the spreading of the sickness the remains of bonfires, trash and dead bodies could be found there. Some houses were burned down and on most others doors and windows were closely shut. Drunkards and beggars lined the street.
