Kenny McBain (28th July, 1946 - 22nd April, 1989) worked as a director on Coronation Street for 2 episodes in March 1981. Kenny attended Hutcheson's Grammar school in Glasgow and won a place to study music at Harvard University, but switched to working in drama. He was the series developer and producer for the successful ITV crime drama Inspector Morse, and also produced episodes of Grange Hill and Boon in the 1980s. His directorial credits include Doctor Who, The Omega Factor , Mackenzie and Ladykillers.
