Edward Lygon Somers Cocks, known as Eddy Cocks, (1858 - 18 November 1923) was a banker and local politician. He was the eldest son of Walter Carew Lygon Cocks of Queensbury Place. After a brief spell in the army, he joined the family banking firm of Cocks, Biddulph and Company, 34 Charing Cross, becoming a full partner in 1891. He was a member of Westminster City Council, serving as Mayor of Westminster in 1910-11. In 1920 Cocks, Biddulph were absorbed by Liverpool & St Martins Bank. Cocks retired soon after.
