The VR Deck was a feature available on the Starship Phoenix. It was a place where Ratchet had to complete a few courses, listen to commands, and destroy enemies. In the tests, Ratchet had to defeat the Test Dummies with a variety of conditions attached to each test. By completing the challenges Ratchet could also earn some bolts and, eventually, a Titanium Bolt. In the middle of the game, a new test became available. It was the Hypershot course, offered by Helga. By completing it, Ratchet learnt how to use the gadget, and a Titanium Bolt was found at the finishing platform.

There was a VR deck in Into the Nexus; however, it was just for trying out weapons.
