Lowell MacDonald (born August 31, 1941 in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada) was a National Hockey League right winger. He started out in junior hockey with the Hamilton Tiger Cubs & the Hamilton Red Wings from 1959-62. The team won the Memorial Cup in 1961-62. MacDonald broke into the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings 1961-62 after being promoted from the AHL's Pittsburgh Hornets. He only played 46 games over 4 seasons with the Wings before being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs. MacDonald never played a game for the Leafs and was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1967 NHL Expansion Draft.
