The script was written by Jun Kumagai, who was responsible for scripts for Persona 4 The Animation and Persona 3 The Movie. It was based on the original game and double-casts the male and female versions of the protagonist. They do not appear in the play together, but instead the performances are divided in between male and female performances. Both male and female performances were released in a live broadcast on NicoNico. In the DVD release, the male and female performances each received a separate disc in the two DVD set.
