- Tír na nÓg is one of the Tir Nations. It is nominally a democracy, but in the background powerful family clans, the Danaan families, have much influence. Tír na nÓg is well known as an elven nation. In parts of the country, a third of the population is elven. This comes on the one hand by elvish immigrants, however in the Tír na nÓg there is also an unusually high number of elven children born.
- Tír mhiotasach san Fiannaíocht is ea Tír na nÓg (Tír na n-Oc sa tSean-Ghaeilge). Is í an tSíoraíocht is mó cáil uirthi sa bhéaloideas Gaelach í agus is ann a théadh Tuatha Dé Danann agus na sídhe chun cónaithe tar éis dóibh Éire a fhágáil. Tá Tír na nÓg cosúil le Síoraíochtaí eile sa bhéaloideas Gaelach, síoraíochtaí amhail Mag Mell agus Ablach.
- The English translation means, "Babies, Babies Everywhere and Not a Bite to Eat", although this is somewhat ironic since the food in this land is also made of babies. One can purchase Baby Macs at the local McDonald's (which is also made of and run by babies) or enjoy a baby squishy in downtown Tír na n-Óg. Tourists can visit the famous Garden of Eden where the world began, and shake hands with the very baby that damned our world to eternal bastardisation and disease, Gary Coleman.

Tourists can visit the famous Garden of Eden where the world began, and shake hands with the very baby that damned our world to eternal bastardisation and disease, Gary Coleman. If you're into sports, whether it's kicking a few babies around the soccer field or slam-dunking a baby at the basketball court, there's bound to be something for you at Tír na n-Óg. Or if your intrested in real, physical sport, you could partake in Hurling, national sport of Ireland and most played sport in Tír na n-Og. It involves hitting a tennis ball with 2 - 3 feet of ash wood while killing as many fellow players as possible. Don't forget to visit the many museums and discover the island's history. The stories of many mythical sea monsters originated in Tír na n-Óg, such as that of the Kraken and the Nancy Grace.

Tá Tír na nÓg cosúil le Síoraíochtaí eile sa bhéaloideas Gaelach, síoraíochtaí amhail Mag Mell agus Ablach. Deirtí go raibh Tír na nÓg suite taobh thall d'imeall an domhain ar oileán sa chian-Iarthar agus nárbh fhéidir le duine dul ann gan turas fada crua a chur de nó gan cuireadh a fháil ó na sídhe a chónaíodh ann. Sna scéalta taistil (eachtra agus immram) a raibh tóir orthu sa Mheánaois tugann laochra agus manaigh éagsúla cuairt ar an oileán seo a raibh a áitritheoirí saor ón mbreoiteacht, ón aois agus ón mbás. Is áit í nach ann ach don cheol, don áilleacht, don neart, don óige agus do gach ní taitneamhach sa saol. Thar aon duine eile, baineann Tír na nÓg le hOisín, mac Fhinn Mhic Cumhaill, a imíonn ann in éineacht le bean álainn, Niamh Chinn Óir. Tar éis seal a chaitheamh ann is mór an fonn atá air filleadh ar Éireann chun a chuid cairde san Fhiann a fheiceáil, ach deirtear leis go bhfuil 300 bliain imithe thart cé go n-áiríonn Oisín nach bhfuil ach tamall de bhlianta caite. Filleann sé ar Éirinn ar chapall Néimhe ach roimh dó imeacht tugtar foláireamh dó gan chos a leagan ar an talamh agus é in Éirinn mar dá ndéanfadh sé amhlaidh thitfeadh aois na dtrí chéad bliain air láithreach. Nuair a bhaineann sé Éire amach fionnann sé go bhfuil na Fianna go léir básaithe. Agus é ar a chamchuairt iarann scata fear air cuidiú leo cloch mhór a bhogadh agus nuair a chromann sé síos chun amhlaidh a dhéanamh titeann sé ar an talamh agus déantar seanfhear de ar an toirt. Roimh dó bás a fháil insíonn sé a scéal do Phádraig Naofa.
