Coconut oil can be useful to protect skin to stop mites from reaching the skin, smother mites on the skin, and kill mites by depriving them of oxygen. Take 50ml to 100ml of coconut oil and spread it across the skin from the neck to the feet in an even layer. For more advanced problems use a thicker layer. This does not work well with clothes as the coconut oil will seep into the clothes and may stain the fabric. The result can be a sticky mess on top of your skin. If it becomes uncomfortable it can easily be washed off in a shower. If this happens discontinue use or use a thinner layer.
