| - Welcome to Hell is the debut studio album by English metal band Venom. It was released in December 1981, through Neat Records, at the culmination of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. The music of Welcome to Hell is often described as speed metal, but it had a great influence on the then-emerging thrash metal style, and crystallized the elements of what later became known as death metal and black metal. The sound of the album is very noisy and rough, perhaps in part because the band thought they were recording a demo when they recorded the album over a period of only three days.

- Chapter 1: Welcome to Hell is the first "level", or chapter, of Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, and the introduction to the Legacy of Kain series as a whole. It briefly establishes the Nosgoth setting, the characters of Vorador and Malek, and the history of the Circle of Nine, before following Kain's murder in Ziegsturhl and subsequent resurrection.
- A stock phrase used when one character welcomes another (whether as a threat, sarcastically, or otherwise) to some kind of bad situation. For example, a cop welcoming the new guy to the precinct (a la RoboCop) or a villain threatening the hero (sometimes with a literal hell). Often used to describe That One Level. Compare See You in Hell. Examples of Welcome to Hell include:

- He thinks to himself "I know I lead a wild life but I wasn't that bad. I never thought it would come to this." Looking up he sees that it is his turn to be processed into hell. With fear and a heavy heart, he walks up to the counselor. Counselor: What's the problem, you look depressed? Guy: Well, what do you think? I'm in hell. Counselor: Hell's not so bad, we actually have a lot of fun. Do you like to drink? Guy: Sure, I love to drink. Guy: Yes, as a matter of fact I do. Guy: Well in my younger days I experimented a little. Guy: Yes, I love to gamble. Guy: Uhh...no.
- Now sir, I understand your fear and curiosity but please refrain from looking at the sacrifices. It tends to disrupt their blood flow, and that’s the most important part of the job. The demons work hard enough to give them the proper ratio of blood flow to pain-1:99. Anyway, I’m still waiting on your files to get here so I can assign you to your post.
