The Electronic Bill of Rights, announced by then Vice-President Al Gore in July 1998, provided the following rights: 1. The right to choose whether one’s personal information is disclosed. 2. The right to know how, when and how much of that information is being used. 3. The right to see that information themselves. 4. The right to know if information is accurate and correct it if it is not.
