During Albert's library research in Gone, he spotted the cat on the librarian's desk. The cat teleported onto Albert's head and attacked him. It then teleported back to where it was before, and proceeded to attack Albert this way several times. Eventually, Albert anticipated an attack successfully and held up a book to cover his face. The cat accidentally teleported inside the book and fused with it, resulting in its death. Albert escaped with minor scratches, and the physical evidence of the cat merged with the book, which was presented to Astrid. It was one of the first animals to have shown mutations as a result of the FAYZ.
