The Brilliant Ornaments of the Moon were small crystal teardrops with an inborn glow resembling the light of the moon. These tsangusuri were physical materializations of the tears dropped by Asahina Akusesari, prior to be sacrificed in a dark maho ritual by his kidnappers, members of of a moon cult. The girl, daughter of the Asahina Daimyo and the Master of Void, had used her natural talent to reach out and grasp the Void for one final creation. Each ornament offered a single magical boon that would allow its owner to succeed at one difficult or impossible task, then fell inert until gifted or taken by another.
