Her first assignment for the Pioneer Project in March 501 sent her to Manhattan Colony, where she and the other passengers of the Hypnos were hunted and captured by Fratrum Procella huntsmen and cybernetically-enhanced dogs, interrogated and brainwashed. Following this assignment, Kenna was "recruited" by the RIA. In a misguided attempt to defeat the demon of Levi Circle, Kenna and Charlie Banks summoned Lucifuge (the Devil). Lucifuge happily absorbed the demon, and then killed everyone else present who fought him.

Following this assignment, Kenna was "recruited" by the RIA. In November 501, Kenna Riley was among those who returned to Manhattan Colony, and fought the Shadow. On the spaceship flight off Manhattan Colony, she fought Zeal on a catwalk for the Apple after their Aetherial and Psionic abilities had been crippled by the Shadow. Kenna stole the Apple from him as he fell to his death. In a misguided attempt to defeat the demon of Levi Circle, Kenna and Charlie Banks summoned Lucifuge (the Devil). Lucifuge happily absorbed the demon, and then killed everyone else present who fought him. After the events of Roth Park, Kenna was captured and interrogated by the Infernus Pact. She betrayed the Midnight Sons and killed those sent to rescue her. Her last mission was to destroy the planet Dallas and recover the grail. After battling past numerous Collective Automata agents, she lost a clone to the Redeemers. The following day, after fighting yet more Redeemers, she was finally killed by James Deacon.
