That said, it is worth bearing in-mind that a Judge may not necessarily make the same interpretation of the Law as do you. This can be a problem. A distinctive feature of Scots justice is the need for co-robberation of evidence. This means that no one person's story can be used, on its own, to secure a conviction. For any case to proceed, the eyewitness testimony of a minimum of two larcenists is required. This may of course create serious difficulties in controlling those types of crime which do not involve misappropriation.
