The Combating Paedophile Information Networks in Europe (COPINE) Project was founded in 1997, and was based in the Department of Applied Psychology, University College Cork, Ireland. It tracked internet paedophiles all over the world. It was discontinued in 2005 and its database transferred to INTERPOL.
