Trivia about Batman: Year One. * Batman: Year One was almost adapted as a live-action film to be directed by Darren Aronofsky from a screenplay by Frank Miller. Warner Bros. canned the project in favor of Christopher Nolan. * Planned for release in the US on the same day as Batman: Arkham City. * In addition to voicing Barbara Gordon (James Gordon's wife), Grey DeLisle voiced (uncredited) the role of Vicki Vale, who was not in the original graphic novel, although she is mentioned in one of the newspaper articles in the book's first pages as being a "cutie clepto". Vicki replaced several television news reporters used in the original story. * Hopper's diner is seen frequently in the movie, and is named for its resemblance to the diner in "Nighthawks", a painting by Edward Hopp
