- Season three is the sitcom of Family Matters originally aired on ABC from September 20, 1991 to May 8, 1992.
- Season Three of NCIS at 8:00 P.M Eastern Standard Time (EST) in the United States. The season premiered on September 20, 2005 and ended on May 16, 2006.

Small and Bill Braudis were the writers for the season, while Bouchard was the director of the season. This season had critical acclaim and has been branded as one of the greatest seasons in animated television history. The episode "Shore Leave" won the Pulcinella award for "Best TV Series for Young Adults & Adults", while the season won itself in the category for "Best Group of Character of the Year" at the same ceremony. The season was released on DVD by Shout! Factory on November 15, 2005.

- On February 1, 2011 CBS Entertainment renewed NCIS: Los Angeles for a third season. Subsequently on March 31, 2011 CBS Entertainment announced that the third season would consist of twenty-four episodes. This episode also features three episodes that crossover with Hawaii Five-0.
- Season three opens with Nate on trial, and the team conspiring to break him out of prison, against his wishes. He soon convinces the team he means to serve his sentence in a private supermax prison, but the case of a young black man serving a long sentence for a minor crime leads to the discovery that the warden was engaged in bribery and fraud for his own gain. Nate pulls the team back together, and with the help of Det. Bonnano, breaks out of prison and brings down the warden. Nate's freedom comes at a price, when a mysterious Italian woman gives him a choice: find an untouchable international crime financier named Damien Moreau within six months, or return to a prison of her choosing. Nate also learns the remainder of the team knows something only he must earn: Sophie's elusive real nam
- Rita discovers she is pregnant, informing Dexter that she will keep the baby and raise him with or without his help. He ends up proposing marriage to Rita, which she eventually accepts. While stalking a murderous drug dealer, "Freebo", Dexter stumbles upon a fight between Freebo and another man, whom he is forced to kill in self-defense. This victim turns out to be Oscar Prado, brother of Miguel Prado (Jimmy Smits), a prominent assistant district attorney and old flame of Lt. LaGuerta. Miguel comes to confide in and trust Dexter after he helps assist with the case. Dexter tracks down Freebo and kills him, but as he leaves he encounters Miguel, who has followed a lead to Freebo's location. Dexter tells Miguel he had discovered Freebo and killed him in self-defense, but instead of reprimandi
- The season's main theme (or at least implied) is the question of whether someone is truly evil by nature or by choice, a trait present in Wario, who believed he had to seek his revenge, but he still had some good buried in him, and the Voice was once a neutral force that was gradually tainted by his master, who long ago was consumed by pride, wrath, greed, and envy from his brother's decisions. The season began on December 3, 2008, with the airing of "This time, It's Personal!" and ended with 15 episodes on April 9, 2009, with the airing of "The End of the Beginning."
