Plo Koon was a Kel Dor male from the planet Dorin who became a Jedi Master and a member of the Jedi High Council. Koon manged to escape the Great Jedi Purge with his apprentice Ahsoka Tano by going into hiding on the planet Telos IV until 5 ABY (a year after the defeat of Darth Sidious and the death of Darth Vader) when they returned to Coruscant to aide Luke Skywalker in the restoration of the Jedi Order. After his psychical death, Koon would often appear to Luke has a Force ghost aiding the Jedi Master in the difficult times that lay ahead.

Koon manged to escape the Great Jedi Purge with his apprentice Ahsoka Tano by going into hiding on the planet Telos IV until 5 ABY (a year after the defeat of Darth Sidious and the death of Darth Vader) when they returned to Coruscant to aide Luke Skywalker in the restoration of the Jedi Order. When the Order was successfully restored, Luke allowed Koon too once again serve on the Jedi High Council, Luke formed a close friendship with Koon even letting with take his nephew, Anakin Solo as his apprentice. In 31 ABY (a year after the final defeat of Darth Sidious and the fall of the Empire) the Return of the Sith began, Darth Maul came out of hiding with his brother/apprentice Darth Opress. Using ancient dark Sith magic Maul was able to resurrect many formerly deceased Sith (most of whom had been apprentices rather than masters), among the revived Sith was Darth Desolous. It was during a duel with Darth Desolous that Master Koon was fatally wounded Desolous' lightsaber. Koon was taken to back to the Jedi Temple where Luke attempted to heal his injuries but it proved impossible, now dying Koon asked to speak to his two former Padawans one last time, he told Ahsoka and Anakin that he could not be more proud of the Jedi they had become and that he foresaw a bright future for them both and with that the Jedi Master past away becoming one with the Force, with that the last Jedi Master of the old Order was gone. After his psychical death, Koon would often appear to Luke has a Force ghost aiding the Jedi Master in the difficult times that lay ahead.
