Robert James Adams, known as Bob Adams, was a goalkeeper who spent the 1934–35 season with Rovers. He only managed two first team appearances for The Pirates, making his debut on 12 January 1935 in a 3–1 defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup after regular 'keeper Jack Ellis broke his collarbone.
