Takar was a member of a Srivani team of scientists that secretly boarded the USS Voyager in 2374 to conduct experiments on its crew. When Captain Kathryn Janeway decided to end this situation and piloted the Voyager into a binary pulsar, Takar appeared on the bridge and asked Captain Janeway about her intentions to destroy the starship and its crew. She told Janeway that the only reason was to intimidate the Srivani and her actions don't speak of rationality. Takar then tried to intervene but was unable to change the course on the conn station because the captain disabled all functions with her command authorization code. Takar threatened to kill the whole crew but Janeway didn't take her seriously.

(VOY: "Scientific Method") Takar was played by actress Annette Helde in her third of five Star Trek appearances. She filmed her scenes on Thursday 31 July 1997 on Paramount Stage 8 and was not named in the episode but in the shooting script and on the call sheet. Her costume was later sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1]
