AZ the Creator finds himself in a small corner of existence. He begins to make various things. ZA the Destroyer finds AZ and his creations, and then begins to ruin all he sees. AZ and ZA battle each other. They manage to kill each other off, but during these battles, they give life to nearly all major deities and Primordials. These new beings contain parts of each AZ and ZA. The Gods and Primordials begin to make their own stuff in the vein of AZ, but soon come into conflict with one another, and attempt to destroy each other and their works.

The Gods and Primordials begin to make their own stuff in the vein of AZ, but soon come into conflict with one another, and attempt to destroy each other and their works. Using their combined might, the Gods are able to seal away nearly all the Primordials into what will become the Elemental Chaos. The Gods, however, are unable to eliminate the elemental servants of the Primordials. These servants continue to wage war against the Gods until a pact is made that allows limited access to the Prime Material Plane for the Gods in exchange for the Primordial servants not destroying any more than they already have. This pact holds until a rift in time and space occurs, and the world is invaded by a vast demonic horde. Because they are bound to the domain of the Astral Sea, most Gods are untouched by this invasion. The Primordials and their servants suffer greatly. It is at this time, the first mortal beings are thought to have come into existence. Each race has it's own creation myth, and they nearly all conflict. But it is generally believed that some God or another, or in a small chance, a Primordial, created each race. The demons that invaded enslave and torture any mortal beings they can get their hands on. After an unknown period of time, a being called Azza the Rift Walker, finds a way to thrust the demons out of the Material Plane. He sends them to a corner of the Elemental Chaos and they form the Abyss. From this point on, The Rift Walker acts as a guardian of planar travel, keeping the demons and their ilk trapped beyond the Material Plane. With the demons gone, the Gods bound to limited action, and the Primordials imprisoned, the mortal races come to dominate the world.
