The organization also sponsors a triennial international camporee which is a week-long wilderness camping experience. The event typically draws more than 1200 men and boys. The Cadet Corps was founded in 1952 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, now the home of the organizational office. As of 2010 it serves 4,000 men and 18,000 boys in approximately 600 clubs in the United States, Canada, Kenya, and Uganda. The organization also shares materials and information with Cadet clubs in New Zealand and a brother organization, the Christian Cadet Corps, in Australia. The CCC is associated with the GEMS Girls' Clubs (a sister organization) and with Youth Unlimited in the umbrella organization Dynamic Youth Ministries.
