Nouveau Redon was the name of a city and a state in the United States of Atlantis. Before that, it was a legendary and formidable French fortress in Atlantis. The powerful fort stood above an underground stream that provided the city with limitless water in the case of a siege. That is, until the end of the French and Spanish War, British engineers successfully mined the ground under the fort, stopping the water supply, and forcing the surrender of the fortress, a feat that resulted in the death of Roland Kersauzon at the hands of Victor Radcliff's adjutant Blaise.

After terms of peace were set, the English began rebuilding the fort - water or no, it was in a very good strategic location.
