| - Nancy W. Stevenson is currently Director of Character Design for Sesame Workshop where she oversees creative development of character design for application in domestic & international licensing, marketing, web services, and outreach for Sesame Workshop properties including Sesame Street, Pinky Dinky Doo, Dragon Tales, and Sagwa The Chinese Siamese Cat. She leads a team of artists that create the visual face for Sesame Workshop's projects across the globe. Stevenson's first association with The Muppets and Sesame Street was in the late 70's to early 80's when she art directed The Sesame Street Book Club at Western Publishing Company. She illustrated her first Sesame Street book in 1979, What Did You Bring?, and has also worked on other Henson/Muppet art projects, including a Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss book. Stevenson's other clients in children's media licensing include The Walt Disney Company, Scholastic, Golden Books, Random House, The Reader's Digest Association, Fisher-Price, Mattel, Tyco Playtime, Advertising Age magazine, and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. She has also illustrated over 40 children’s books.
