In 1913, she founded a movement for Oceana's autonomy and recognition, That Oshenna Lew Taste (The Oceana Lion Organization). They became a strong political force in the 1910s, but less in the 1930s. She was the first Oceana nationalist to enter politics and to maintain a Oceana-First Policy In 1934, she married Ellis Rudyear (owner of Rudyear Rum) and moved to west Oceana. They had 1 daughter, Marija Rudyear. She took over Rudyear Rum in 1951 until her death in 1960.
