Despite his authoritarian tendencies, Atatürcak is considered a populist, and gained a vast following in the mid-4060s following his nationalization of Kalopia's agricultural sector, as well as the major strengthening of education and social welfare programs in the country. Additionally, his government guaranteed equality before the law between men and women for the first time. His name, Atatürcak (meaning "Father of the Turjaks"), was granted to him by the Grand and General Council in 4065 as a honorific gesture.
