The Planetary Salvation Council, also called the Kalee Unified Government and the Kaleesh Defense Council, was a military government on Kalee formed by Nyranos Abesmi'jar, a former Imperial Intelligence major, in 138 ABY. After serving the Fel Empire and the Empire-in-exile, Abesmi'jar returned to his home planet with the aim of reunifying it under one government. He held a meeting of the leaders of the twenty largest tribes on the planet. In it, Nyranos proposed a unified government, with himself as the head of state and government. Some agreed, but most refused, bickering about who held the most power.
