About: Combat Actions   Sponge Permalink

An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : 134.155.108.49:8890 associated with source dataset(s)

As noted in Combat Rules, you're allowed one combat action per round of poses, which raises the question: What counts as a combat action? * +aid * +attack * +areaattack * +combatroll * +forcefield * +jam or +unjam * +selfrepair * +merge (for gestalts) * +retreat for retreating (You can't attack on the pose before leaving the area, and you have to give your opponents a parting shot if they want one and +retreat says they have a shot.) Things that don't count as a combat action: +stats (to check attacks/current damage/etc)

  • As noted in Combat Rules, you're allowed one combat action per round of poses, which raises the question: What counts as a combat action? * +aid * +attack * +areaattack * +combatroll * +forcefield * +jam or +unjam * +selfrepair * +merge (for gestalts) * +retreat for retreating (You can't attack on the pose before leaving the area, and you have to give your opponents a parting shot if they want one and +retreat says they have a shot.) Things that don't count as a combat action: +stats (to check attacks/current damage/etc) * Talking on your radio or faction channel * Deactivating your forcefield * Using +detect * Making a +roll for one of your stats * Transforming /once/ (It is generally accept that you can switch from vehicle to robot mode and pop off a quick shot or vice versa. However there isn't enough time for multiple transformations unless you're not taking a shot.) Rule of thumb: Your enemies don't sit around while you do excessively complicated manuevers. If what you plan on doing is going to take more than a few seconds you may need to break it up over a couple of turns. Abilities you aren't allowed to use during combat: * +heal * +mechanic * +repair You don't use these during combat just because of the time and precision involved. +selfrepair is the Junkion ability to patch yourself up quickly (and haphazardly) during combat and actually doesn't replace much endurance. However, the other healing skills take time and the proper tools to complete. It's not something you can do in the middle of a battlefield.
