The term "Retired Character" refers to a Player Character who can no longer be selected or roleplayed as. The reasons can involve many things including, but not limited to: * Storyline-related Death. * A roleplayer leaves the site and their character has had too much of an influence over the Multiverse to be used by a different player. This does not necessarily mean that the Player Character is dead. * If a roleplayer is banned due to mischievous activity or rude behavior, their characters may be retired. * In the rare but very unfortunate event that one of the roleplayers from Celestial Refresh passes on, the characters belonging to the dearly departed may be retired. * In most cases, it is up to the role-player or those who know/knew them on what happens to the retired
