Michael "Mike" Shires (January 5, 1910–December 15, 2010), was the eponymous founder of The Michael Shires Company, an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, and animator. One of the most famous and well-known motion picture producers in the world, Shires was also the creator of an American theme park called Shiresland, and is the co-founder with his brother Roy O. Shires of Michael Shires Productions, the profitable corporation now known as The Michael Shires Company.
