The Duluth Queen was a American steamer. Jens Larssen rode aboard her into Minnesota on his cross-country trek to Denver in 1943. In any other year, the Duluth Queen would have stopped sailing for the winter, but the Race had directed most of its attacks on American roads and railways, but little attention to ships. Because Lake Superior was frozen, Larssen had to stay aboard several extra days before a small boat could carry him to shore to he could head on to Duluth
